The College of Engineering (CoE) celebrated fall 2008 commencement on December 18, 2008. The ceremony was a part of the University’s 267th commencement exercises for 1,820 students. The CoE awarded 158 bachelors degrees, 44 masters degrees, and 13 doctorates. Graduating Summa Cum Laude were Jose Kamar Kharoufeh, Daniel P. McGraw and Catherine T. Persac. Magna Cum Laude graduates were Mayuri Murugesu and Jacob E. Roussel, and Cum Laude graduates were Olugbenga O. Ajala, David A. Comeaux, Brett A. David, Lauren E. Peltier and Allison M. Vinson.

In addition to graduating with honors, Jose Kamar Kharoufeh also received the Edward McLaughlin Dean’s Medal of Excellence for graduating with the highest grade point average among CoE graduates.
