Louisiana State University held its Spring Commencement exercises on Friday, May 18, 2007.  The University awarded 3,345 degrees, including 309 from the College of Engineering.

The College of Engineering awarded four medals to students graduating with a perfect grade point average.  Joseph S. Cali, Computer Science and Computer Engineering major from Baton Rouge, Daniel M. Englert, Biological Engineering major from Chalmette, Heath J. Leblanc, Electrical Engineering major from Watson, and Rick A. Nugent, Civil Engineering major from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, were among the medalists.

In addition to medalists, the College of Engineering had 24 honor graduates. Graduating Summa Cum Laude with a 3.9 to 4.0 grade point average were Kenneth M. Aucoin, Joseph D. Cali, Matthew K. Desmond, Daniel M. Englert, Heath J. Leblanc, James B. Michiels, Richard J. Nelson, Rick A Nugent, Wynn A. Phillips, Brady A. Theriot, and Christian R. Theriot.  Graduating Magna Cum Laude with a 3.8-3.89 grade point average were Joshua S. Hayden, Katherine M. Meche, Asaduzzaman Mohammed, Sonam D. Sherpa, Luke J. Stein, and Genti Zylyftari.  Graduating Cum Laude with a 3.7-3.79 grade point average were Christopher G. Boenig, Chistopher H. Boudreaux, Richard C. Green, Edgardo E. Kamar, David H.
