Subhash Kak, Delaune Distinguished Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at LSU, will be one of the keynote speakers at the 2006 RSA Security Conference February 13-17 in San Jose, California. He will be joined by other keynote speakers including John Chambers, President and CEO of Cisco Systems, Bill Gates, Chairman of the Board and Chief Software Architect of Microsoft Corp., and Scott McNealy, Chairman and CEO of Sun Microsystems, to name a few.

Kak, who joined the LSU faculty in 1979, has worked in the areas of wireless data security, neural networks, information technology and quantum information processing. His research interests include wireless communications, information theory and cryptography, quantum information science, computational intelligence, and the archaeology of mind and history of science. His research on neural networks has focused on instantaneously trained neural networks (INNs) and their applications to prediction, data compression and communications. He is excited to join the ranks of industry leaders and experts at the 2006 RSA Security Conference.
