LSU’s Office of Research and Development will host speaker Dr. Robert Nicholls, who has studied coastal processes and coastal hazards for the last 25 years. He has an international reputation concerning climate change in coastal areas, especially the potential impacts and the possible responses. This talk, entitled “Why Might We Want Coastal Resilience?” will examine the challenges of coastal management and the potential role of the concept of resilience in tackling this challenge.
