Supplemental Instruction (SI)

Our key role is to provide peer-facilitated sessions for students enrolled in large size, historically difficult courses. During these sessions, students will utilize active learning strategies to better understand the material.  

Courses include: 

  • CE 2450 - Statics 
  • CE 2460 - Dynamics and Vibrations 
  • EE 2120 - Circuits I 
  • EE 2950 - Comprehensive Electrical Engineering 
  • ME 2334 - Thermodynamics

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be accepted as a Peer Mentor, to register click here.  Peer mentor applications and interviews start in January each year.  
  • Have a recommendation from the teacher of the course and have earned a B or better in the course.
  • Be willing to attend continued trainings throughout the semester and be willing to work evenings (between 10-20 hours per week).
  • Have a valid driver's license and means of transportation.
