Peer Mentors (PI)

The Society of Peer Mentors is a student organization at LSU that focuses on mentoring and leadership for the College of Engineering. Our goal is to help students transition to LSU and the College through a variety of activities and programs.

Peer Mentors provide assistance in the following areas:


You must be an undergraduate student in good standing, have an overall 2.5 GPA,  and a positive attitude.  You will be asked to provide a resume and a list of three references before interviews.  Group interviews will be hosted by Peer Mentors Leaders.  You will be contacted by the mentors through your email.

If accepted, you will be required to attend a minimum of 8 hours of training and maintain good standing in the Society of Peer Mentors.  Paid opportunities include the E2 bridge camp, freshmen courses, robotics mentoring and supplemental instruction.  

Interviews and selections are held in February of each year.
