Jerry Rispone, a 1985 graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, is co-founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of ISC Constructors, LLC, which specializes in electrical and instrumentation engineering and construction. ISC is a national firm, headquartered in Baton Rouge, La, with branch offices located in Houston and Beaumont, Texas. ISC began in 1989 and today employs 2,200 associates with annual revenues of approximately $220 million.

Jerry has a great appreciation for the College of Engineering, especially the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and has been pleased to offer sustained active involvement and financial support. He has served as a member and as current Chair of the Electrical and Computer Engineering’s Advisory Council. One of the objectives of this Council is to assist the Division Chair in ensuring that the curriculum and instruction remain relevant to industry and reflect what employers need. To provide important industry support and input into higher education – from curriculum accreditation, to placement of graduates – has been very gratifying.

Jerry volunteers countless hours to assist Associate Builders and Contractors (ABC), a national non-profit association dedicated to advancing and defending the principles of the merit shop philosophy and the free enterprise system in the construction industry. Since 2000, he has been elected to numerous leadership positions at the local, state and national levels. He is a long-serving member of the Industrial Contractors’ Council (ICC) having served as Vice-Chairman and Chairman.

In 2009, Jerry was instrumental in establishing the Louisiana Construction Education Foundation (LCEF) and has served as Vice-Chairman since its inception. The Foundation is organized for the purpose of developing and funding training initiatives for the construction industry in Louisiana.

Jerry serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the National Center for Construction and Education Research (NCCER), a non-profit organization located near Gainesville, Florida. NCCER was organized for the purpose of creating and maintaining a standardized training and credentialing program for industry. This ambitious initiative has evolved into standardized curricula for more than 60 craft areas, with more than 70 assessments offered in over 4,000 NCCERaccredited training and assessment locations across the United States.

Jerry is a member of the Construction Users Roundtable (CURT). Originally established by the prestigious Business Roundtable, CURT provides a national and international forum for the exchange of information across a variety of industries where workforce development, employee safety and construction innovation are among the principal topics of discussion.

ISC has a stellar reputation in the industry, both in terms of performance and safety, which has led to the award of the prestigious ABC National “Excellence in Construction” Award 13 times. ISC has garnered these “Excellence in Construction” Awards for projects with corporations such as ExxonMobil, Shell, Marathon Oil Company, TOTAL Petrochemicals, Honeywell and Enterprise Products. This is a highly competitive award sought after by contractors across the country. ISC has won the comparable award at the regional level no less than on 35 occasions. ISC has also been awarded the CURT Workforce Development Award and the CURT Construction Industry Safety Award.

Jerry and his wife, Bronwen (LSU - BS Chemical Engineering) have twins, Lane and Blair, who are currently attending LSU’s College of Engineering, studying Electrical Engineering and Chemical Engineering, respectively. Jerry enjoys LSU football, duck hunting and saltwater fishing with family and friends.
